Trump-Russia Investigation. The Week in Review. 2/17/18.
Los Angeles Times: “Robert S. Mueller III indicted 13
Russians and three Russian companies Friday, accusing them of using stolen
identities, fake campaign events and hundreds of social media accounts while
spending millions of rubles to interfere in the 2016 presidential election in a
secret effort to aid the Trump campaign.”
Associated Press: “Trump overreaches to claim
indictment proves ‘no collusion’…neither the indictment nor Mueller’s office
has ruled out any potential collusion…the indictment is only one line of
inquiry.”
Washington Post: “Trump’s Russia ‘hoax’ turns out to
be real.”
Vox: “Rick Gates is reportedly close to becoming Mueller’s third
cooperating ex-Trump aide.”
FactCheck.org: “Vice President Mike Pence…said US
intelligence agencies came to the ‘universal conclusion’ that Russia’s campaign
interference had no impact on the election results. But that’s not what the
intelligence agencies said…that report specifically said that the intelligence
community ‘did not make an assessment of the impact.’”
