Manafort…and his business partner, Rick Gates, on fresh tax and bank fraud
allegations Thursday, months after both men were hit with a 12-count indictment
last year.”
Reuters: “A former senior official in Donald Trump’s 2016
presidential campaign, Rick Gates, pleaded guilty on Friday to conspiracy
against the United States and lying to investigators, and he is cooperating
with a federal probe into Russia’s role in the election.”
The Guardian: “Alex van der Zwann…a lawyer who
previously worked with Paul Manafort…has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.”
Financial Times: “The Watergate investigation took two
years to play out from burglary to presidential resignation. Nine months into

national security adviser, said Russia’s role was “now incontrovertible.”
Las Vegas Sun: “We no longer need to wonder whether
President Donald Trump has colluded with Russia. He’s doing it right in front
of our eyes every day. This is a man who’s taken no action against Russia on
election meddling…and is seeking to do the same to the upcoming midterms.”
BBC News: “Democrats defend Russia inquiry in memo.”
FactCheck.org:
“President Donald Trump falsely claimed that he ‘never said Russia did
not meddle in the election.'”
